A Year of Small Changes Challenge, Week Four

It is week four of the Year of Small Changes Challenge from The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans and this week should be a breeze for me because it is all about meal planning and tracking food.  Two things I already do.

Last week of course was a little more difficult for me because it was about getting active and finding ways to exercise each day.  I don't have much time for the gum.  I went once last week and it was my first trip to the gym in 2015.  Needless to say I need to find other ways to get in my exercise.  I have decided that increasing my activity level in general might be a good way to do that.  To help me keep track of my activity levels I ended up purchasing a Fitbit Flex.

I have learned that I don't get in nearly as many steps as I could be and there are massive differences in the amounts of steps I take each day.  Right now I am wearing it for a week, Friday will be my one week mark, and at the end of the week average the amount of steps each day.  Once I average the amount of steps I take each day I am going to add 500steps to that, and that will become my target number of steps each day.  I plan to steadily increase my steps each week and hope that this will help increase my activity levels.
Are you participating in the Year of Small Changes Challenge?  If so how are you doing?
