What I Wore Wednesday, April 8, 2015

I have been a reader of The Pleated Poppy for years but only recently did I start posting my own What I Wore Wednesday posts.  I would search the posts for inspiration but didn't always use the inspiration that I found in the posts in my own outfits.  Posting my own posts gives me the desire to put a little bit more thought into what I am wearing because it gives me a little bit of accountability knowing that others will be seeing my outfits.  I have challenges when it comes to being creative with my outfits - the medicine I take has caused me to regain weight, I don't have a ton of clothes so my variety of outfits is limited, and I am on a tight budget so I don't have a lot of money to spend on clothes so I have to do the best with what I have.

Here's what I wore this week:

Wednesday - school
Top - Guess
Sandals - Guess (similar here and here)

Good Friday - church service
Top - thrifted
Skirt - Meijer
Shoes - Sears

This is an outfit that I wouldn't have worn if I hadn't spent time reading What I Wore Wednesday.  I would have normally paired this skirt with a black top but found so many people wearing bright colored shirts with black and white skirts like this.  Their outfits inspired me to give it a try.

Saturday - school and shopping
Top - thrifted
Pants - Gap here

The pants I am wearing here were also inspired by What I Wore Wednesday posts.  I wouldn't have chosen these typically but when I saw posts of other women my age wearing them I wanted to try them to.  They have actually become my favorite pair of jeans and I bought three pairs of them!

Easter Sunday
Dress - Sam's Club
Sweater - Old
Necklace - Kohl's

Monday - school
Top - Wal Mart
Shoes - Mootsie Tootsie

Tuesday - bowling with kids
shirt - Guess here
pants - Gap here
Sandals - Guess (similar here and here)

Wednesday - running errands with kids
Top - Thrifted
shoes - Macy's
